a girl arrived, long-legged and still coming into her form, as were the others of her age. the expression on her face was most intriguing: a protective scathe that was territorial in its own right.

eyes were rolled hard, and eivor hid her smile as the youth strode away, but not before judging the man that the warrior knew now to be akavir.
