It was not until the call of a stranger reached him that Ariston's parade came to a halt...and a screeching one at that. Tendons in his neck popped with the hasty swing of his head to better look at his surprise guest; the tip of one foot was suspended just so on the surface that the minute reverberations of his body sent delicate ripples where the toes skimmed the water. The initial caution of his expression was overwhelmed by his better nature when but a single femme came into focus...her unthreatening appearance dissipating his brief concerns of ambush.

His plume swung once and sent a thin veil of lake water in its wake. "I'm celebrating!" he shouted in reply. His dangling paw plunged into the murky shallows and sent a geyser up against his neck and chin. Laughing as the liquidy beard trickled down his chest he did what felt best in the current situation: returning the question. "What are you doing?!"
