Firefly Glen [PHE] Carried away

She continued on until she paused, her head shot up and her ears swiveled. For a moment, she felt lost, not knowing where she’d wound up, and she carefully looked around at her surroundings. The grass had gotten taller, and the scents of other wolves were on the wind, drifting along. But, there was one scent in particular that was brought to her immediate attention. 

The scent of another, one who was nearby. It was nearly impossible to see through the tall grass, and so she carefully moved forward, till the grass had began to shorten, and she gained more altitude. This was in fact a small hill. 

Here, Ponderosa turned toward the breeze which blew the scent towards her, in an upwind position. She watched from her vantage point until the lurking stranger would show themselves.
