Seaside Moors little wren

It was hard to decide whether her father had chosen Puffin to accompany him because he wanted to baby her, or because he relied on her. She might've been in a sour mood over this lingering question — but there was just no time for that. Seelie was just a baby, too young to fend for herself, and who knew what kind of wolf had kidnapped her?

Clearly not a good one.

Pushing pridefully ahead of her father, Puffin dipped her own muzzle to test the scents thrown about by the wind. Already the seal hunter girl was proving herself a keen tracker. Within moments she'd lifted her head to call out: Here! A scent!

Puffin didn't wait; she charged ahead to follow it, bristling as if they might find the kidnapper any moment.
