The mischievous giggle from the child gave her an answer. Pukei offered her a wink and an equally impish grin. "Don't worry, I won't tell on ya."

To her question, the girl tapped the branch with a paw in indication. "So beavers are these big, round creatures – quite tasty, too! – and they use a bunch of branches and sticks just like this one to block rivers!" she paused for dramatic effect before giving her eyebrows a wiggle. "Damn cool, right?"
