Neverwinter Forest There once was songbird, struck songless

Heavy. Deliberate. Slow. The thrum of pawsteps that were not her own. She wound through the trees. Not a straight line. Meandering, dipping nose into hollows and staring up at wide trees. How she already liked the heaviness of this forest. And her voice carried nicely. She would love to hear her dad sing here.

Then a man of autumn all colors was there. Heads and shoulders above her, her father even. She finished her song and tilted her head. Padding to stand near him looking up. Though her tail lay firmly against hock.
