She wracks her mind for the right words, struggles in her panic not to translate herself too poorly. ¡Él escuchará! She promises, lowering to her haunches. Please. ¿No quieres que tenga hijos sanos? Her eyes are pleading, not for her own life but for that of the man next to her. She does not want him injured. She tries to appeal to the motivations of Soto, though they are not her own.

If he does not plan to provide them himself, then surely he understands that another must come to finish the job. It was he that told her to find a man after all, so why does he get to be picky?

Leto has not been selective in the least, but she can see that this is the best of what they might get out here.
