proving herself would not be an issue, for she was a stubborn woman - that, cole would know from their hunt. when she put her mind to something, she would not so easily let go of it, and so she gave a nod of her head, saying, simply: i will.

polar cub was asked for her name, then. nanuralaaq, a pride carried upon its' shoulders. one that was earned, without room for excess ego, rather held with a weight that whispered of the winters she had survived through to earn such a title. shortened - rala, a sidewards glance to the southman, edged with humour ; his former butchering.

with a breath, she said: i am named 'cub of polar bear', in the tongue of my people. i hope to share culture with you, should you be willing recipient, and although her words were both formal and broken, her warmth was palpable, her voice that of a songbird personified. an energy of compassion that encompassed her surroundings.

--and hope that i may learn of yours.
