his confirmation was given without a name to follow, and so the snowwomans' brows rose, the corners of her maw threatening to tug into a curious smile. she turned her gaze away, then, thinking. or, perhaps he had not given any names because he had not met any within these lands who fit the description - maybe he was referring to someone back home... rala simply must not get too ahead of herself. not yet, anyway.
she abandoned her first thought. one that whispered of a protectiveness, or a possessiveness, keeping the polar-cub for himself. and part of her liked the idea, as, while she was no selfish lover, she would fight tooth-and-claw for the one who held her heart. but she knew, then, or more so, remembered, that no matter what, she wished to truly know a man of courtship, inside-and-out, hopefully better than he knew himself, before relinquishing her heart to him. rala would not leave room for mistakes.
perhaps she was greedy in the way she took in his scent. perhaps this was the first in a series of long nights with tvar, up late and being walked home. part of it was nice, but she was not sure she should make her decisions so quickly... pulling away from the star-man, now, she smiles, though there is something reluctant shining within her gaze.
she kept moving, then, her tail swaying as she dipped into her den.

i have been thinking of my fairytale for a whi--she pauses her words, then, when a cold nose meets her cheek, smooth and black. he took in her scent once more, as if memorising the walk they had together, taking the memory and keeping it for himself to look back on. and so she would do the same ; neck craned upwards to excuse their height difference, she nosed about his check, drifting to the thick fur around his neck.

goodnight, tvar, snowwoman murmurs, lingering for only a second, perhaps two, before she turns away for the hollow in which she has made her den. she paused, then, jaws opening once, twice, until she turned her head and blurted out:
sleep well.
she kept moving, then, her tail swaying as she dipped into her den.
