She'd kept her head down for a few days. She didn't want any unwanted attention until she felt she had successfully embedded herself enough in the pack land, drenched with familiar scents and hidden any aspect that she was a foreigner just a few days ago. It was a different way of life here, a face and name no one knew, a lifestyle that was not catered to her, and she enjoyed it—for the most part. She did miss the constantly full cache's near her sleeping ground, her parents giving her the top notch education the pack could offer, and an easy ride through the ranks. Of course, it stopped suddenly when she'd been dropped out on her ass when she began uncovering more than she bargained for.
It didn't matter now; she didn't think about it nearly as much as she used to. Especially when she had her health to take care of, the wound on her leg looking better since she found a new supply of herbs for the salve. It was no longer inflamed or red and in a matter of days it would begin to shrink again, now that it was on the right track.
Mallaidh hummed quietly to herself as she meandered through the trail that led her down one side of the mountain and toward the borders. Amekaze had been by within the last day or so, her scent lingering in her path. She ran her shoulder against one tree, half pulled from the ground; one good storm would knock it down easily. The female narrowed her eyes, making a mental note to avoid this area for a few days and perhaps warn anyone for their safety. She thought she might be able to knock it down if she pushed hard enough.
She was distracted suddenly, eyes turning in the purple darkness as the sun peeked over the earth's border. It was hinting at daylight but she had another thirty minutes at best. With a swish of her tail, she lowered further until the land became flat, frozen dew between her toes that gave her a chill all the way up her legs.
You have business here?
she demanded, lifting her posture for the stranger.
