he stalks beside gjalla, his golden eye dark with unspent rage. every inch of him radiates tension, though it is contained, simmering just beneath the surface. his breaths come slow but sharp, each one dragging through clenched teeth as he fights the urge to act on the fury corrupting his heart.

he doesn’t speak, doesn’t even glance at gjalla, though her presence is the only tether holding him back from storming these foreign lands. he knows better than to step unbidden into claimed territory—knows that to demand morwenna without care would dishonor her, and himself.

this is between family—between blood. the weight of it presses heavily on stærk, his thoughts a chaotic blur of questions and anger, all pointed toward his sister and whatever fate has led her here. his tail lashes once, a sharp motion against the frozen air, before he glances sidelong at gjalla, his gaze a silent demand. the words he doesn’t speak hang heavy between them:
