Personality
the caribou hunters follow the herds. they time their own breeding season along with that of the cows. a caribou hunter child must be ready to march by weaning. many do not survive as they will easily be left behind. cen will not wait for anyone. when the caribou move, so does he, regardless of who relies on him.

spring: the caribou migrate from the mountains to the coastline
(calving takes place in mid-late may-early june)
summer: the caribou follow the greenery back inland
fall: the caribou migrate back toward the mountains
winter: the caribou winter between the mountains and the tundra
Biography


caribou hunter. husband to red leaf. father to ghelan. father to ghaden, who died under suspicious circumstances shortly after cen married red leaf. the village blamed her. red leaf is young and because he paid much for her bride price, cen would not give up his chance for more sons. he also is not sure he believes ghaden died at the hand of red leaf. and so they left, he and she. he resents her and is abusive. she is kept in thrall to him by threat of a death curse. he will lift its danger when she provides him with a son.
