Hideaway Strath Bloodsucker

mictec's marigold eyes caught the movement first, a flash of pale fur against the dark earth where the snow had melted. she stopped at the edge of the clearing, her form half-hidden among the sparse trees, watching the stranger crouched over the flowers.  

the wolf’s actions were meticulous, deliberate, as though each petal held more weight than its fragile appearance suggested. mictec’s gaze lingered on the sap-stuck pouch and the careful way the blossoms were handled. whoever this was, they moved with intent—and intent always bore questions.  

stepping forward, mictec let her presence be known with a measured voice. i did not think to find another soul here. her marigold eyes glimmered, their intensity softening slightly as she studied the other wolf. 

what need draws you to them?

her tone was calm, but curiosity laced her words. she kept her distance, her stance neither threatening nor overly welcoming, waiting to see if this stranger would offer answers—or if mictec would have to search for them herself.
