his lips curl into a humorless, toothy grin. one that violence typically followed. "faust is not here, yes? i could leave you to rot." or better yet, he could take her head. not the rogue he'd been hoping before, but perhaps it'd be a trophy to keep to himself. 

but, she is right. if this is faust's whore, he wouldn't touch her. even though the woman was stupid enough to go cave exploring and get herself injured.

with a roll of broad shoulders, he grumbled. moving to the tiny woman's side, crouching just enough to catch her before she stumbled back to the ground. "do not move," he growled. his patience was already waning—he wasn't a fucking search and rescue. 

he saddled himself against her side, his shadow nearly enveloping her whole. he crouched lower, his ears pinned with annoyance. "get on my back, or i leave you here." it wasn't an invitation, but a demand.
