Being one who remained isolated by choice more often than not, Kekoa had seen little of his would-be wife since their initial meeting outside of when the pack would gather. He thought of her rarely; they were not wed just yet, there was no need to give her further thought than any other wolf until then. Sun Eater could always change his mind, after all.

He had returned to the lake in Saatsine's previous territory, eager for the comfort it provided. Spring was coming. Sat by the waters edge he could not help but wonder how soon it would begin to melt; he missed wading in slow streams and swimming in cool lakes. Icy water was no good for that.
