Another little detail woven into the deep fundamentals of the pack? Or was it an expression of Star Eater's trust of Sun Eater? It was not a task to be taken lightly, giving the new Lanzadoii names that carried meaning, history, beauty. Where Other Shore had come from, names were not given upon birth, but rather natural labels that established themselves through many moons of growth, gradually given by parents to their children. 

Names, she mused. A funny thing, hm? So shallow and deep. She paused, and another little innocent curiosity popped up as soon as it was given the chance. Where did you get your name from? 'Star Eater'? Where I am from, I have never heard such a name before.
