ulfric does not answer at first. his ears twitch at the snap of her teeth, the certainty in her voice. a warrior, hiding beneath a hunter’s cloak. his eyes betray nothing.
his jaw tightens. "i hide from nothing," he says, rough, certain. but she laughs like she does not believe him.
aspa. she names herself without hesitation, speaks of gods and whispers, of messages meant for some but not for him. ulfric's brows knit. "isn't that encouraging?" he mutters coarsely.
his stride lengthens, falling into pace beside her. "what is it they whisper to you now?"
