Mid patrol Kemal hears the call for help. He is quick to get moving and join the group at the mention of a puma; Verapaz has young pups leaving the den for the first time, discouraging the big cats from entering the territory in in their best interest.

He arrives just in time to catch the puma's snarl shot towards the pair already following after it. He meets it with one of his own as he joins Safiya and Soto, tracing the form of the cat as it retreats a small amount.

Surely it won't be so confident as their numbers increase. He wonders where Leandros has run off to; he can only hope that he too will show his face.
