for @Siofra Hawthorne !! <3
Hemera wandered the mountains, relentless in her search for the sacred peak. The Sunspire was vast, its ridges and summits stretching endlessly, yet none bore the likeness of the vision He had bestowed upon her. Each dawn brought renewed hope, each dusk a quiet ache of disappointment. She had told no one; not even Periane. This was her burden to carry for now, a trial set forth by the Lord Himself. But as the days stretched on, as the final peak, the Lone Star, proved to be yet another deception, her steps grew heavy.
At last, fairy body yielded to exhaustion, sinking into a quiet clearing nestled at the base of the mountain. The air was still, the sky vast above her. Hemera exhaled, her breath barely stirring the quiet earth. Plum eyes turned heavenward:
„Lord, give me a sign,” she murmured, voice soft but certain. „Show me if I have already walked upon sacred ground.”
But the heavens remained silent; no light split the clouds, no voice stirred the wind. And so, she waited, gathering her strength, her faith unwavering, for she knew He would answer in time. The sandwoman would soon reunite with her sister priestess and proceed to new grounds.
