aw w/ a new man!

 
there's a snarl, a yowl, and a sickening pop of bone. one coyote lay stiff, cradled by a pool of blood and long grass. another slumped upon the cool surface of a rock; neck twisted and mangled. a kill not made with precision in mind, but born out of wrath. 

the third lay still in the jaws of the man, soon to be tossed aside like a puppet to rot in the plains' sun. V exhales a sharp huff of air, brazen eyes narrowed with pupils dilated. the fur along his back risen; it would not settle soon. his tongue rolls across his bloodied muzzle. 

with a rumble of a growl, he perches upon the flat-faced stone. kicks away the coyote blocking the patch in which he wishes to bathe in the sun.
