Odessia scarcely slept. Every time she closed her eyes, she watched Viper's life flow out of him. Several times, she thought she saw him out of the corner of her eye, his throat ripped open and gushing the red life force onto the ground. When she was not seeing him, she barely noticed the world around her. She ate what she could and drank, but she felt as though it was some other wolf eating and drinking on her behalf. Either that or nothing about this was real. Maybe she was not real. Her heart pounded at every reminder of Viper's death, often causing her to vomit up whatever little she had been able to eat.
She could not stop from moving, often pacing in circles or back and forth along the creek's bank. Every noise sent her into flight mode, her heart pounding violently in her chest. Her muscles ached from how tightly she held them, unable to release the tension she held there.
If @Etienne were nearby, she scarcely acknowledged his presence. If @Anselm were nearby, she relived the moment he ripped open Viper's throat again and again and again.
When she could feel anything at all, her existence was horror, fright, and anxiety.
She did not see the other wolf until she had run right into her, and Odessia backpedaled herself right onto her backside, blinking as she tried to bring the dark fur into focus.
