In some ways it was a good job he was going for a counsellor trade because everyone seemed to drop problems at his feet, even when he wasn't actively seeking them. It was also good that, as per his name sake, he dutifully sat and listened. It would all be a bit awkward if he were to get irate at these random tales.

As it was he found them all a source of inspiration for the storyteller trade that he also wanted to pursue. Hearing other people's stories was bound to be inspiration enough to create his own. But back to the problem at hand.
