Sun Mote Copse again, a place to fall

A'yan stepped, gently, towards the pair. It did not hurt her to see that she would aid in the death of at least one of the two - such was life. They would meet again, the shatterkin had told her. All would meet again.

Hmm. I see. A'yan had seen brilliant hunters who had the audacity to claim that their skill was weak. But a failed hunt would not hurt her. I am like you, then. Not great. But alive.

She saw that his gaze found the distant doe and fawn, blissfully unaware. A'yan traced what she could of a path to slip towards the prey - stealth was not natural to her, so perhaps it was not the best method...?

How do you suppose we approach this? she asked. Surround and attack? Or one chases and drives fawn towards the other? Common hunting techniques, ones that she could easily roll off her head, came upon her tongue now. Typically she had little strategy. But perhaps the hunter-singer might appreciate a little planning, more than she did.
