Foxglove hadn't expected to find the stone circle empty. It was so... quiet. She supposed it had always been quiet here, but now the silence was more like an eerie stillness than peace. More like a ghost town than a home.

She stepped past what had once been the borders, sniffing around carefully as she walked. No sign of anyone, known or unknown. Her heart fell. Where had they all gone?

Why did everyone always disappear in the end?
