The topic of her season was passed by, something Haedwig was perfectly pleased with. I wouldn't mind eating something without a layer of dust. She agreed.

Where are the rest of you all staying? She asked. I thought I should move closer, but I'll need help if it's much of a climb. But worth it, probably. For community and all that - Haedwig had seen how crazy old ladies could get left on their own. She wasn't ready to turn into that.

Maybe it hadn't been the best idea to move onto a mountain, but all signs pointed directly to Dawnspear, and it just made sense. A group of young wolves coming together to form a pack needed the guidance of an elder, even if it was only someone quietly brooding in the background.
