Kira let the quiet sit between them as they ate. It was a comfortable silence, thankfully. Only broken by the sounds of eating, then, when they finished, Treepie spoke again.
"That would be really nice, Pie. I appreciate that you're willing to help." Her heart fluttered with excitement at the thought of figuring out her purpose in life.
