Instead, his gaze addressed the stranger with a warm kindness, body language open, nonthreatening, as if to display a sort of trust. He knew that he was safe with Sega, but he wanted the woman to feel safe with them.
She did not need to address him, but he would not stay quiet if she chose to. Ever polite. Well-mannered, of course.
