From what Alivia was able to glean, Towhee had just simply.. fallen down. Alivia frowned in concern. 

"Have you been dizzy lately?" There were a number of pregnancy-related conditions that could cause such an issue. 

Before Towhee could answer, Alivia interrupted with a shake of her head. Much like Cinar, she didn't have the necessary Ptero to try to take full patient history through sign language alone.

"Never mind, don't try to talk, let's just get moving. We'll head to the creek to get your mouth washed out." Cold water would do little more beyond soothing the pain, but there really wasn't much else Alivia could think to do. It wasn't like she could bandage a tongue. 

"Yeah, it'll be just fine," Alivia answered Cinar's question with far more confidence than she actually possessed. It was too dark and there was too much blood presently for her to complete a proper exam. "Tongues heal really quickly," she added, actually having no idea if that was true or not. It just seemed like the right thing to say. Managing panic was half the battle in any emergency situation, after all. 

Alivia and Cinar flanked Towhee and began guiding her toward the nearby creek, keeping a close eye in case she stumbled again.
