“The first litter born to Opal Medeiros by a passing bachelor (Cormorant), these siblings were the first generation of the Medeiros family to be raised in the fragile peace established by the ousting of Opal's parents, Atlas Sr. and Morticia. They were raised primarily by their mother alongside her few siblings who remained. A former cult pack (more info here), the Medeiros family continued to struggle with high tensions surrounding the dissolution of their beliefs and way of life alongside the persistent dangers of their homeland.

Late in the summer of 2023, several wildfires swept through The Gilded Sea, rendering it uninhabitable. Carnelian and Peridot were permanently separated from the others, while the rest of the Medeiros family slowly reunited and eventually set course for a rumored ancestral home, Sunfil Grove.“

Recent past: Having found family in Reina and Everett, Dottie and Carnelian traveled with them to Casco Bay for respite from the Wilds after the fallout of Hushed Willows. The family did not realize they would go from one trouble to the next—Casco Bay was a battlefield. However, the siblings found purpose in the war effort there; unfortunately resulting in the loss of Carnelian on the field. His battle buddy, Polaris, watched over her, whether by request from Carnelian upon his death, or for his own personal reason—she never asked.

Present Day: She and Polaris have returned to the Wilds.
