Something told her that today was a day to explore more of the land outside of the Spine. Harlyn loved her home dearly, worshiped it even. But she knew that the Ouroboros was not the only beautiful example of Mother Earth's creations. She had a full canvas there in the Teekon Wilds, and the Cinderloch wanted to see just what She'd done with her brush when she'd found it.

Her journey took her along the outer edge of the Heartwood and beside the winding river until she came upon Greatwater Lake. The river broke in two miles before she could see it empty into the massive body of water creating a little island between its two forks. It was there that she rested at the outer bank, gazing inward across the swiftly flowing river, wondering if it was possible for her to fjord it so that she could explore the inland.
