With the interlude more or less settled, the swarthy female offered a curt goodbye – not that he expected anything more grand. With a nod of his own, the cinnamon wolf remained for a few more stolen moments, watching her go. It wasn’t as if he expected her to turn around the moment his back was to her and attack – but his thoughts were wistful as he considered the possibilities of Ferdie missing.

Shaking his muzzle to withdraw from the quiet moment, his own creamy paws began to lumber forward, his explorations continuing. He wasn’t quite ready to return to the Creek, and it had been awhile since he had breathed the air outside of its borders.
