I Crush After You

Timeline stuff is all confused, but settled at the same time. Hippos Can't Ice-Fish is after Somnia's talk with Peregrine, (I couldn't forget you if I tried) so this is after that so it doesn't need to be back-dated. (My cat who was laying on my bed for the past 4 hours decided now was the perfect time to throw up on it. >.<)

Somnia was surprised when Ashton licked the top of her head, but not in a bad way. It made her giddy with happiness. But, things didn't stop there. Like Peregrine had suggested, she was the girl he had his eyes set on.

The excitement of it all made her unable to talk as she tried to form words in her head. He loved her, and he wanted to become something more with her. But... To what extent? Courting? Lovers? Mates? Somnia wanted to take the jump, but not that big of a jump.

"What if...." A hesitant pause, for nervousness was there. She hoped she was testing the limits. "What if we start off as either courting or lovers? Then, after getting comfortable with that, we could move farther down the road?"
