Kieran had not gone on the eve of the birth. Leaving that to the happy parents, Scimitar and Bazi. It wasn't that he didn't want to, he just felt that they deserved their space that first night. He did not want to overwhelm the wee ones. Lifting his muzzle from the ground he followed the scent trail of a small fox. There were a lot of the them in the nearby forest, but this was the furthest he had ever seen one.

Following behind it and churning his legs he grabbed it and chomped down on it. Pulling and snipping with his teeth he got the tail off, then he also got the fur off. He picked up his prizes and carried them to the whelping den. The fur he would clean and let dry before he presented it, but the meat and the tail. The children could certainly play with it couldn't they?
