A scowl darkened the Arrluk's expression at Quicksilver's jeer, a sharp glance was sent towards him, conveying that Sinaaq did not appreciate them, though his demeanor changed quickly, mirroring his companion's mischief with a vitriolic slyness of his own. “Perhaps my warning of being left behind was unclear,” Sinaaq teased in a soft hiss, brow rising into a wicked arch over his right eye. Rather, Sinaaq had been sure that he had made himself perfectly clear when Quicksilver and him had went over the ...agreement of their companionship; and anyway Sinaaq had never catered or babied Aldartok who had been a child, let alone a creature the same age as his own – or if not the same age than close. A snort left Sinaaq's black, leathery nostrils when Quicksilver presumed to think that he was jealous that Quicksilver had taken off in the interest of a female. Though Quicksilver was not entirely wrong on that mark for Sinaaq's pride and envy were both top competitors in what was dominantly Sinaaq's personality, though more of the time the sins seemed bound to work together than against one another; but no he felt no envy for Quicksilver's need to find a conquest, nor envy for the fact that the other male succeeded. Sinaaq did not desire to chase so loosely after the fairer sex. He had, had something that had felt very real to him but fate was a cruel and unforgiving mistress in the fact that Sinaaq was here and Solia was becoming nothing more than a distant, albeit painful memory. Quicksilver, of course, did not know that for Sinaaq had no interest of divulging into his personal life. “I have no interest in your conquests, their nice friends or your leftovers,” Sinaaq spoke in a dismissive tone, eloquent despite the slight lisp on certain words that his Germanic accent lent him. “Or rather your lack of conquests.” Sure, Quicksilver's fur held a wisp of perfume-y fragrance, undeniably the scent of the girl he had chased after, but it did not cling to the tendrils of Quicksilver's fur as it would have should he have been successful with his intentions. Sinaaq found his companion's attempt to lead him on to believe everything he said as insulting but Sinaaq put up with it for reasons that were not wholly known to him presently. The darkling murmured something under his breath to himself in German, not caring if Quicksilver understood it or not, confident that even if the other could understand German he had spoken it low enough that it could not be caught.
Sinaaq's attention diverted from Quicksilver, however, when a brown male made himself resolutely present, brows furrowing slightly as he wondered if the elder man had heard their conversation. Though Sinaaq had done his fair share of eavesdropping before, understandably and hypocritical though it was, he did not like when it was done to him, though it was not as if Quicksilver and him had been speaking of anything overly important. In actuality, none of what they had spoken to one another had been of any importance at all — just casual (or rather what was casual for them) conversation. Sinaaq held himself with muted curiosity but he made no moves to bow, after all he was inquiring more than anything currently, and he would not show submission until it was warranted and he was an official member. Curiously, Sinaaq glimpsed as his companion to study Quicksilver's stance before his eyes slid back on and focused upon the brown male who made no introduction, instead jumped right into demands. Names and what they wanted. Sinaaq's head cocked to the side as he studied the male that had slunk out of the shadows. The darkling offered a Cheshire grin though it held no mirth. It was as his lips parted to speak that his words were held as he stilled his tongue, sharp canines grazing the muscle when a woman appeared next, striding closer than her earthen companion, offering an introduction placing an emphasis — for what reason Sinaaq did not know, he did not care if the earthen male was her mate, her brother or her father; It made no difference — on the word mate giving them a name to associate with him though she offered no name of her own.
Sinaaq felt his brow rise into that wicked arch once more as he looked to Quicksilver to garner some kind of reaction from the other teen, holding his silence, before his lips parted once more to speak. A slight curl of his lips in distaste was given when he watched the woman openly tease the older male with her tail though quickly before it could be seen he masked it; it was a move that Sinaaq perceived as an extremely sensual one. Abruptly he found that he was disgusted. How unprofessional and unworthy it made her seem for her position in the Arrluk's eyes. It stated to him that she would rather be fucking her older mate than handling her responsibilities. Sinaaq believed that business and pleasure should never be mixed and certainly not in front of wolves that were potential new recruits for them. As usual, though. the darkling displayed nothing further than cold indifference. It was his default mode, an effective way of hiding what he was truly thinking; though currently he was debating on if he should even bother here. He had no tolerance for poor leadership, despite how unfair he was judging her because he did not know her, but first impressions meant a lot and thus far his first impression was less than rudimentary. Quicksilver could do whatever he wanted but unless things changed with their conversation Sinaaq was already on the cusp of leaving. A chance to redeem herself for that display was all Sinaaq was willing to give. After all, there were other packs. This was hardly his only choice. “I am Sinaaq and this,” The darkling jerked his muzzle towards his companion. “is Quicksilver. We are looking to inquire about this pack,” Sinaaq informed them without coming right out and saying that they wished to join because while he could not speak for Quicksilver he was not so sure he wanted to do much of anything than garner whatever information they could give him to make a weighed decision, his willingness already dampened by his tendency to judge harshly.
