[size=small]Foxes were uncommon in her coastal homeland. From great distances she had seen a grand total of five until now. No, she was more familiar with nuisances caused by thieving sea birds. Not unlike ravens, they pestered with squawking cries and the rare act of intimidation. However, Persephone was not charmed to learn that there were even more devious enemies to contend with in the mainland. She knew how to dispatch an entire crowd of gulls but, the sinuous creature before her was proving wearisome in its persistence.

Nevertheless, she would not allow him another bite. Guarding the deceased two-toe, she continued to growl from her heart. It was really too bad that her stomach wasn't in the chase actually. Snapping at the air a third time she prepared to cross over the carcass to reach him when she noticed his sudden distraction. It wasn't normal for an animal to loose focus while attempting to preserve its very own life so in accordance she turned as well.

Looking over her dark shoulder she stared at the newcomer with an oddly familiar sense of dread. His stance, his words, his scent -he was apart of whatever pack the deer had run to seek shelter with. Grousing beneath her breath as she dropped her head, Seph frowned at the fox before giving the grey wolf his answer. "The fox stole from me" she offered. "It owes me flesh."
