Northstar Vale NSV CLAIM: we owe this to ourselves!

She had remained in the shadows of the Vale's forest, and her cold heart fluttered in her thin chest like a frightened bird. Zombie had agreed to follow the beastly male, to leave the fool Hawkeye and her plateau behind, but she was not yet convinced that she had made the correct choice. Jinx had not condemned her at her last meeting, but would she now that all traces of Zombie's oath had been shredded asunder? The grey-and-rust yearling hardly thought so; Jinx felt no love for the plateau's dark leader, and had moved on from such things herself. And, truly, the yearling wasn't sure why she felt the former leader's opinion mattered so much.

It was a fresh start, here in the Vale, in the presence of the monster that equally comforted and terrified her.

A fresh start was what she needed. From her crouched position, Zombie's electric eyes lifted suddenly towards the loud, rumbling howl of the beast. It caused the hackles to raise along her back, and the yearling's nerves screamed, "Danger, danger!" Nonetheless, she found herself struggling to contain a responding cry—something she did not know why she fought, though it escaped her suddenly all the same.
