He was stunned. There was no other way to describe his reaction to Finley. He let the words hang in the air; he was expressionless. She prepared herself for an argument, but it wouldn't come. Everything that she said was wrong, wrong, wrong -- assumptions and lies and blackmail. All things that he never thought she was capable of saying -- but that was where he was wrong.

He didn't know who she was. Maybe he never had. This was beyond anything he could have ever expected, but he wouldn't give her the validation of seeing his world crumble.
