Saena ignored Osprey's offer of peace and didn't back off. Quite the contrary - she closed the distance between them, rudely invading her aunt's private space and making an attempt to snatch her muzzle in order to push her down and remind, who was the boss here. It was a bit odd though, because last time Osprey checked - the adolescent was still way down in the hierarcy - and her actions could mean two things - either the girl was not in her right mind or she had too high opinion of herself.
Although a pacifist in nature, who tried to avoid a conflict at all costs, there was a streak of pride in her too - she wasn't going to take this kind of insubordinance lying down. Plus, there were other reasons for her to feel annoyed with the girl - she had disowned her and rather than minding her own business, she was meddling in somewhere that shouldn't have concerned her at all. Osprey avoided the attempt to snatch her muzzle, springing to her feet with her fur now bristled along her back and with tail held high and body stiff. She locked her gaze with the girl's again - there was a growing anger burning in her eyes. A deep, warning growl resonated in her throat, threatening her not to make another move.
