There was an ebullience crackling between Scimitar and his mate as they prepared to make their fresh start. Relonikiv sensed it, even if he didn't understand it, and was swept up in their frenetic energy. It kept his mind off the sadder aspects of life, like the recent loss of half his family. And it helped deepen the bonds with his new family.

Today, there was something else even more vital, more primal, in the air. He approached the dozing @Bazi, sniffing rather rudely around her hindquarters, investigating a new and wonderful scent lingering about her. She fidgeted in her sleep, as if aware of him, but didn't wake. The runt stuck his nose beneath the tip of her tail, then clipped it gently with his teeth and gave it a tug. This seemed to release the smell like some sort of push lever.

He almost goosed her with his cold little nose but then something else happened entirely. Without really being aware of what he was doing, Relonikiv reared onto his hind feet, clutched his foster mother's slim hipbones and began to hump her with wild and ungentlemanly abandon.
