Burke was not sure what he was doing in this meadow. For once he did not have a purpose to go anywhere. The tank of a male at least thoughts so. But seeing that he had not left Black Feather Woods for a long time he felt the need to stretch his legs in a different landscape. Maybe it was Cicero's words that had inspired him. The black and white male that did most of his outrider work had come back with so much information that the alpha male also felt the need to get out and maybe talk to a few other wolves rather than the ones in his pack.
Burke knew it would not be good for him if he would go back to his workaholic state hence why he decided that a chance of scenery and letting fate walk him into a random direction would do him well. Having lost the one wolf he cared about most was still bugging him a bit, especially now Meldresi was gone he was even more tempted to delve himself in more work, do another border patrol or another check on their local herds. Not today, today he would do 'nothing'. Just have a random trip outside of his home while Nemesis would watch his pack.

For someone who had joined a pack fairly quickly in Teekon, she sure did a lot of wandering away from it. She supposed the idea behind being a pack wolf was to remain within the territory more than you did out of it, but since speaking with Amekaze about her abilities in scouting, Ness had begun focusing her efforts towards achieving the title of the trade as quickly as she could. She had traveled the circumference of Big Salmon Lake, the spring afternoon finding her in the midst of a chilly meadow, quivering in eagerness to bloom.
A gray figure caught her bronze eye, and because his silhouette did not presently reveal the telltale differences between father and son, Ness mistook the wolf for Sebastien. "Bast!" she called, picking up her walk to a canter, though coming within a few yards of the other male immediately brought forth the realization that she had made a mistake. The she-wolf stopped in her tracks. "Whoa, that was head trip. Sorry, you look like a friend of mine from a distance," she apologized, unable to recceed the interested perk of her ears and the way her eyes freely traveled across the broad male's body. He was older, tailless, and with a fair bit more scarring, but he was otherwise an exact replica of the young alpha of the Fen.

Burke was about halfway through the meadow when he noticed that there was another wolf. She was pale of color and rushing towards him, carrying out something. Bast? What did that even mean? The male flattened his ears and raised his stump of a tale. Although when the female gotten closer to him she seemed to realize that she was not the one she intended to meet. Burke let out a light glare. She probably knew Sebastian. Yet, Burke thought of an idea. After all, Cicero had told him his son had started a pack, and if she knew Sebastian she might give him some information.
Burke cleared his throat. "Aha," he stated. "And who did you confuse me with then?," he questioned. He wanted to be sure that she meant Sebastian as the look-a-like and not some imposter that would also look like him. I could always happen, after all he had fathered quite some offspring by now. The large male kept his stance, curious what she was going to say.

This wolf was certainly not Sebastian. He was significantly more standoffish, though Ness was more inclined to ignore his glaring and general displeasure rather than be shirked by it. The tip of her tail wagged. "Some guy I know— Sebastian," she answered readily enough. "You two look incredibly alike. It's almost scary." She stepped closer, seemingly unafraid of his less than friendly demeanor. Her nose twitched, catching more of his scent, and she smiled knowingly. It was not always pertinent to reveal the strange quality of her nose and the advantages it gave her, so she didn't remark to him that she could smell the relation between their blood. She also considered the fact that she could be wrong, which also urged her to keep quiet about it.
"He's from around here, down south a bit further," she thought to explain why she'd confused him with the other male. "You aren't related, are you?" she decidedly asked after a beat, finding their remarkable appearance and respective scents too similar to ignore the coincidence. If he lied, though, Ness wouldn't care much about that at all. It was none of her business and she wasn't that interested aside. This was not Sebastian, and that was where her curiosity faded somewhat.

Burke watched the quite fearless female. It was quite interesting to see. Malice, an alpha female, had been almost scared of him and this young thing seemed not even phased. Somehow it was refreshing. Still Burke kept his dominant stance. She confirmed it was Sebastian she was talking about. She even revealed even more info. Sebastian had settled south, he partly knew that but now he had a second confirmation. The large male kept his pale eyes on her. She questioned if they were related, which seemed quite obvious to him. He did not think it was possible to look that much alike without being related.
"He settled South after all then," he spoke, like he knew that Sebastian was going to settle somewhere and start his own pack, frankly the father had no idea. He quirked his lips up a bit. Most of the time his face was quite stoic but, seeing that he wanted to come over differently he put his face in a slightly difference demeanor. Yet, he was not overly doing it. "Unsurprisingly, I am his father," he then spoke. "He left my lands recently so it is nice to hear he succeeded," he spoke. "Are you in his pack?," he questioned.

Ness's ears twitched faintly as the wolf commented to himself, his deep voice pensive and referring to Sebastian in blatant recognition. Her face didn't change, though she smiled cheekily as the ashen male affirmed that he was the father of her southbound friend. "Meetin' the pops," she admired aloud. "Whew. This is all happening so fast." A poor joke that would have been better made had Sebastian actually been there. She didn't seem to notice her own oddity; or she didn't care. "No. I'm from Moonspear— name's Ness, by the way— but I met him when he was just beginning to scope out a place."
She eyed Sebastian's father, wondering but not skeptical for any reason. "Where are you from? You guys have a spat or something to make him leave?" she asked candidly.

Burke lifted his head a bit when the female spoke about Sebastian in such way. But then he decided that the didn't care if it was a joke or not. The male would listen to Cicero's advise and not bother with him too much. Ignore the annoying mosquito that was Sebastian Rochester. Burke nodded slowly. Her pack he hadn't heard from before. "Moonspear? Where is that located?," he questioned. Wanting to focus the topic more on that than his own personal life.
"I'm the alpha from Black Feather Woods," he spoke to her, wondering if she heard of them or not. Cicero had met some wolves with fear of them on the road but that was that. This female was young and maybe she had not heard about them yet.

She motioned across the lake, gesturing towards the most visible peak in the west-bordering range. She wasn't perturbed by the male ignoring her question— she was used to her nosiness being unwelcome— so she kept her assumptions to herself. (Though by now, she thought it was pretty obvious there could be some bad blood between them since he didn't correct her.) Ness nodded her head slowly, having the decency to appear vaguely piqued by his title. "Superiority runs in the family then," she remarked coolly, her lips playing with a smirk. "Where's Blackfeather?" she asked in return, noticing that he hadn't given his name, but she somehow didn't feel like she needed it. She could always ask Sebastian later.

Burke looked at the other and followed her motioning to the peak to the east. He didn't even know that there was a pack right there, but it looked really far away, so it was not of much interest to Burke to be really honest. The female then asked another curious question. Burke turned and pointed at the Dark Forest further up ahead. "Right there," he pointed out to her. And she better not come close to it because Burke would not really appreciate that. He was very protective of the dark forest. Burke didn't really spoke something in return for the female commenting on their superiority because frankly he didn't really see Sebastian manage leading a pack.

Her mis-matched eyes followed the direction he motioned in, and Ness smiled, giving a curt nod. "Bitchin'," she smiled casually, remembering that he was proud owner of aforementioned woods— and certainly not as friendly. She wouldn't be visiting there if she wasn't required to. Her tail wagged, and though she had decided that the next time she saw Sebastian, she'd let him know of this encounter, she wasn't particularly interested if there was any sort of message that should be shared between them. The nameless alpha didn't seem too keen on his own son anyway, so it would've been pointless of her to ask, even if she was just being friendly.
Her easy-breezy expression didn't change in the face of her stoic company. "Well, I'll be on my way now, but it's been a pleasure, Alphapops. You take care now," she said, tipping her chin up in farewell and then angling herself towards a route that would take her around the the rest of the lake and then back towards Moonspear.

Haha I love Ness! :D
Burke raised his brows when the female spoke a word he didn't even knew, was he getting that old? The male shook his head a bit. Not really into all these new words these young wolves had. Young wolves? Great, he was getting old. A soft scowl came on his face because this female reminded him of that. Then the female decided to leave, which was more than okay with Burke. He was unsure how to even deal with this female. With a curt nod he wished her goodbye, though there was still disapproval in his eyes. He went into the other direction walking more away from her.
