jesus, why did feelings have to be so difficult? the emotion that drageda bought her was so overbearing and being caught crying just tipped her over the edge. after the encounter with blixen, max wanted to distance herself from the place as far as possible, so she did what she does best and ran away from her problems. it wasn’t the best solution but she didn’t know what else to do.
it was pitch black when she finally made a stop. snow and rain fell from the sky and rolled off her pelt. this sucks, she thought as she was towards the sound of waves crashing against the rocks. she sat a safe distance away from the ledge and looked out at the sea. she watched its surface dance in the moonlight.

this was really starting to fucking suck. the whole concept of living life on the edge had kind of lost its meaning as she focused all her energy into simply not fucking freezing to death. although doubtful thoughts certainly snuck around the dark corners of her mind, yet not the type she should perhaps be thinking. indeed she was starting to wonder had her brash decision been the right one but missing her parents? the thought of them left her feeling nothing, not the slightest drop of sadness at the fact that she'd never see them again. does that make me a monster? a frown tugs at the corners of her maw. however she did not enjoy lingering on such thoughts and as more questions started to build up in response to other thoughts she growled lowly, head shaking vigorously as if she could physically knock them right out of her head.
her jaw sets stubbornly as she stands and prowls speedily through the darkening lands. what was done was done, of course running away had been the right idea. she was free! even if it could perhaps be a bit better than right this aboslute second at least she could be herself and she did not regret a second of it! the sounds of the crashing waves in the distance soothed her, funny how the sea had become such a thing of importance to the young girl despite having only discovered it weeks ago.
she had yet to set paw in this particular area and drew to a suspicious halt as teal eyes caught the moonlight that had broken through a gap in the dark snow and rain spitting clouds. the water had sounded so close and yet somehow distant and it only made sense now that the moon illuminated a fucking cliff edge mere paw lengths ahead of her! "jesus fucking christ" she gasps, stumbling backwards- feeling quite shaken. had the moon not broken free would she have just continued walking until there was no longer anything beneath her creamy paws? she shuts her eyes for a moment, feeling sick at just how close she could have come to really dying. she then continues to move backwards, cursing everything as her previous little mental pep talk falls away. her pelt clings to her skinny frame and shivers race up and down her spine as she finally stops and inhales as deep as she can despite the shakiness of her breaths.
she almost jumps out of her skin when she spots a figure not too far off, they're not really facing where her little near death experience had just occured but if had they just tilted their head it would've been possible to see it happen although the noises of the rain/snow and waves should've saved her from exactly drawing the attention to herself. she's pretty sure it's another fae, similar in age to her and so she approaches them- trying to look composed as possible as eyes flash ready as ever to defend her pride if needed. "hey there" is all she murmurs, not her usual bright chirp of a greeting but her tail still holds itself above the soaked grass as she studies the other curiously. she didn't know why someone would be out in this unless like her they simply didn't really have much of a choice.

sorry for the wait!
there were no expectations to see someone out here in this kind of weather, so when a pretty stranger emerged from the cover of rain she couldn’t hide her surprise. she looked just as miserable as she was and it made her curious.
“hey,” there was a pause. she couldn’t think of what to say. “uh, lovely weather we’re having huh?” she quipped, trying to mask the sadness.

it's okay<3
the surprise to write itself all over the other's face is definitely a relief. had to mean she hadn't seen her nearly walk herself off a cliff right? she eyes the other for a few more suspicious moments before giving up on it, she was just going to assume she hadn't been seen unless it was brought up that she had.
she now instead lets her attention really wander from herself to the other wolf, she liked the way her eyes and pelt went together. perhaps an odd observation but ali really liked seeing things she thought were pretty. it was likely that thought would offend some and she'd be lectured with 'don't judge a book by its cover' blach blah but she really didn't care, others definitely thought the same way even if they didn't admit it.
she sits down on the saturated grass, wrinkling her nose with slight disgust at how slick it feels beneath her but tried hard to ignore it and focus on her company. she laughs sharply, eyes glancing about before returning to their main focus. "it's fucking savage" she mutters, pushing as much sarcasm into the three words as possible. "what has you out here? not trying to judge but this isn't really what most would call great sight seeing weather" of course she could be asked the same thing but alas she hadn't been, so why not be the first to push the question.
