anyone welcome, but preferably someone who can help Autumn find Valtyr. Or Valtyr himself.
Autumn was going to stay true to what she had told herself. She would find whoever Valtyr was- and try to reunite the two. Hopefully this Valtyr person did exist, hopefully it was not the pup's imaginary friend or whatever. From now on everyone she met, she would try to ask if they knew Valtyr. If only she had caught the golden faced pup's name. If only he could've said more names. He said ma, pa, and his sisters and this Valtyr dude. And of course he'd said Caiaphas, but now she had a feeling that might be the coy-wolf. But the name Valtyr was important. If she could reunite them she would feel so proud of herself.

Hi there :)
Koda had left the plateau for the day to do a little exploring on his own. He found himself drawn to the evergreen forest rising up on the horizon, so he followed the meandering river until he found himself deep within the trees. The valley wolf had never seen a forest like this one. The trees were massive, tall and thick. He wondered what kinds of animals he would find living among these giants.
The explorer stepped into a small clearing, in the center of which stood the biggest tree yet. The trees that embraced the circle looked like twigs in comparison. He gazed at the mighty tree with reverence, craning his head back so he could peer into the topmost branches. It reached so far into the sky, the top seemed to disappear into the clouds. And it wasn't just tall, the base of it's trunk was nearly twice as wide as his body was long. He felt as if he was standing in the presence of something ancient and wise. This tree had been around long before he'd ever existed, and it would still be here long after he had passed. How many generations of wolves had come and gone over the course of it's long vigil over the forest? Such musings made Koda feel tiny and insignificant.
The young wolf was so enraptured by the tree, that he almost didn't hear the approach of another animal. Koda came back to himself with a jolt, suddenly realizing he wasn't alone. He poked his nose around the trunk, yellow eyes bulging out as he came nose to nose with a fox.
"Arg!" Koda growled and stumbled back, startled.

Hello! Thanks for joining! I just realized I didn't describe where she was in the post... sorry!
Suddenly a snout, followed by a face of a wolf, was in her face. It popped around the side of the large trunk and she gasped in surprise. "Arg you too. Sorry, didn't mean to scare ya'." She said kindly, and hoped he was fine and wasn't gonna hunt her to be his next meal. She gave it a go, the question. "Do you know anyone called Valtyr?" She asked. "If not it's okay, it's just that I'm looking for 'em." She said. It might seem an odd conversation starter, but she would stay true to her quest.

No problem ^^
Koda scowled. "You only surprised me," he said gruffly. He was a little irritated at the whole thing, but he didn't show any aggression toward the smaller canine.
He'd never exchanged words with a fox before, except to curse at them for trying to swipe his food. After his initial surprise wore off, the fox's words sank in and a light came on in his head. He recalled hearing about a young pup that had been found near death and brought to the plateau to recover in Blue's den. He was certain the little guy's name was Valtyr. What what did this fox want with an injured wolf pup?
"I do know of someone called Valtyr," he replied. "He's a member of my pack," he explained. "Why are you looking for him?"

Autumn was utterly shocked it could be this easy. She'd already met someone who knew the Valtyr dude? How fortunate! "I am attempting to bring him and someone he knows together. Perhaps you could tell me what pack you're in? I need to find 'im!" She said, her voice raising just a little near the end. She couldn't let the little golden-faced wolf pup stray away from his family. At least she could bring two of them together.

"It's pretty lucky that you bumped into me, huh," Koda remarked. "I'm a member of Blacktail Deer Plateau," he said in response to the vixen's question. So, she needed to find Valtyr so he could be reunited with someone. He decided he would help the fox with her quest. It was a shame the poor little guy was all alone in the world. "I can bring you back with me to see him, but I don't think he's in any shape to be going anywhere."

"Oh, thank you so much!" She said. It seemed Black Tail Deer Plateau was her most common stop. She'd met the most wolves from that pack than any other. "Could you bring me to him? He doesn't have to come with me if he can't." She said. Perhaps the golden faced could come to him. "What's your name? I'm Autumn." She added, with a little dip of her head."May I ask why he can't come?" She said. She was not trying to be nosy, she was just curious.

"No problem," replied Koda. It was against the rules to allow intruders into pack territory, but did that apply to foxes? He was sure the leaders would make an exception anyway, given the circumstances. He would keep an eye on the little vixen during her visit, just to be sure she stayed out of trouble.
"Last I heard, he was in pretty rough shape," he explained. "They found him just in time, poor little guy was half dead."

"Oh, that can't be good..." She said. Nawww, it can be good, Captain Obvious, her joking mind told her. She paused as a moment of silence, then continued: "I guess I'll just call you Joe, then. What's your name?" She asked again when he didn't reply. Perhaps he had been caught up in thought?

oops, lol
"Sorry, it's Koda," he answered when the fox asked for his name a second time. He'd been so busy talking about Valtyr, he'd forgotten to introduce himself.
"Let's get goin'," he said, turning around and starting for the plateau. He let his nose hover just above the ground as he walked, searching for the scent trail he'd left behind. He'd gotten himself good and lost in the maze of giant trees, so he'd have to smell his way out of the forest.
"So Autumn, how did you get yourself tangled up in all this?" He asked. It seemed rather strange to him that a fox would even care about the plight of a wolf pup, yet here she was, risking her own hide to help him out.

would you like another thread in bdp with koda, autumn, and valtyr?
"Pleasure ta meet ya', Koda." She said. "Well, I was on the beach and stuff. I saw this really little dude alone, so I asked where his parents are. Next thing ya' know, he's cryin' and stuff, and he lost 'em. I asked who and he said ma and pa, which isn't helpful. Then my enemy comes runnin' up out of the blue, starts protecting 'im. I know she's not 'is mom, and he managed to let go one actual name before he ran off. So I set out to get 'im back together with this Valtyr dude." She explained as they begun to walk.

yeah, sounds good :)
Koda listened to the little fox as she padded alongside him. He had to keep his strides short in order to stay in step with her. So, she was trying to reunite a pair of siblings. Koda wondered how they'd gotten separated to begin with, and if the other sibling was still safe. "Hopefully, we'll get this all sorted out soon," he told the brave little fox.
His nose finally picked up his scent trail, and his surroundings started to look familiar. "We're almost there," he told Autumn as he led the way toward the plateau.
