It was time to return. She had been away from her pack long enough, and the birds thought so too. Leaving their temporary home in Lion's Head Mesa, the birds flew north, back to that dark, ominous forest she loved so.

The journey was not rough, or tiring like it was when she fled from the storm, looking for a place to hide. The ravens and crows were fast, but the girl could keep up now with a gentle trot. Though, when the forest came closer in her field of vision, she began to run, excited to be back, before nearly falling forward.

Potema scambled back, eye wide and her pupil narrowed to a single slit. She looked down, into the ravine she had never seen before. It was deep. Steep. Potema stepped back, frightened at the thought that she nearly died.
