All Welcome
Kendra wandered aimlessly through the forest. She had been standing at the edge of the swamps, the ones she had been slightly apprehensive about ever since she was close to being hypothermic after playing in the mud during winter. She wondered if she would mind if such a thing happened again. Pietro was gone. The only reason she had not followed him was her father. She had seen how heart broken he was, yet normally where he would go she would go. It felt almost natural that she should. She also reminded herself that Pietro's death would be in vain if she would kill herself, still, it was strange to not have her brother anymore. He was just gone. Not here.

She was alone. She would always be alone. She had her father, but that was different. She had Xan but that was also different. She had Nemesis but that was different. The girl had always been with her brother. They were together, and they were a pair. Her mother had left life early and now her brother had done so too. Why did this happen to her family? Would her father soon die too? Her aimless wander brought her to her garden, which not contained all dead plants. Something had gone wrong. Maybe the plants had felt her broken heart and died in the process. The girl stared blankly at her garden, not really looking at it in the first place.

The "aura" that leads Potema to Kendra is her scent trail. She's mostly focusing on her headache right now so she doesn't connect the dots. :P

Emotions had a way of affecting the air around them. It was part of the magic of the forest, the emotions of the pack. And now Potema could feel an overwhelming, choking sadness that far surpassed the aura she felt when her mother died. It permeated the forest, stilling even the crows and ravens ahead. Potema gulped quietly as she walked through the woods, her head throbbing as she sensed the center of the sadness. Burke and Nemesis, to her knowledge, were gone, so it could only be one person...

Kendra slumped over the wilted garden, her eyes blank and unseeing. Potema gulped again, her head throbbing matching her heartbeat. It was as if the plants had sensed Kendra's grief or Pietro's death, or a combination of both. The untapped magical prowess that Kendra had, one that she had sensed slightly the first time she met the Meldresi-lookalike, became even clearer to her now that she saw the scene. The white witch walked closer to Kendra, her steps quiet as she approached, hesitant and uncomfortable. She was adept in using herbs and magic, at identifying plants and sensing magical auras, but was pathetic at relationships and speaking to people. Potema sat a foot away from the dark princess, sitting and trying to muster the urge to speak to her little grieving sister.

Haha good to know!

Kendra's eyes kept blankly staring at one of the withered plants. She couldn't bring herself to look after them, and bring them water was though. Maybe there was not enough light for them to grow, and not enough water. Frankly her ambition died out a bit. She did not feel to make a new garden. She missed her brother. Kendra also didn't think that it was her 'magic' and sadness that caused this. She had not been exposed to the magic Potema was familiar with. She knew she had neglected them.

The girl had been so absorbed in her own sadness that she did not notice her sister. The dark girl turned away from her garden, expressing still blank and empty. She just walked past Potema, like she was not even seeing her right now. The girl was so distraught. She was in so much grief and pain she just felt numb. Her feet stumbled and she slumped down to the ground, not even bothered to get up anymore.

@Kendra Just so you know I'm continuing this

Potema watched helplessly as her distraught sister slumped to the floor, unable to move, unable to see her, though her eyes were open. Potema walked closer to her little sister, nosing the dark female gently with her nose, feeling awkward and tongue-tied. K-kendra...? Can you hear me? She asked, butting the girl softly over and over again. She had seen sadness before, but never had Potema seen grief. Grief was an entirely different process than just being sad. And Potema couldn't even handle consoling someone who was sad. How could she help someone broken by such an overwhelming sense of sadness?

Kendra looked up when she heard a voice, she recognized it as it being her sister's voice. The young girl turned her face to her words but they did not really register. She did not really want those words to have a meaning. After all, now Pietro died what other meaning would there be? What would she do without her brother?

The girl turned her face away from her pale sister again and placed her head on her paws. Actually laying down was quite nice. She decided that she would lay here and think how her life could only get worse from here. Who was she going to lose next? Her father?

Potema stared, distraught, as Kendra continued to ignore her. She clicked her tongue and looked away, more upset with herself than anything. Why couldn't she help? She had cures for all kinds of ailments, remedies to fix all injuries, and yet she couldn't help her sister's broken mind? What kind of a healer was she?

Potema looked at her sister once more, then sighed. She crouched down and laid beside her sister, curling her tail around Kendra. Nothing was said, or needed to be said.

Kendra noticed that her sister went to lay down next to her. She was awoken from her thoughts once more. She curiously looked to the side but then placed her head down against the white fur of her sister. She let out a long sigh and closed her eyes. Maybe now she could catch some sleep. Maybe her sister would bat away bad dreams.

The girl let out a long sigh and breathed out steadily with her eyes closed. The young female was sort of at rest, glad that she was not pressured into talking.

Potema was relieved when Kendra responded to her presence. The young girl's head rested against her body, and soon stilled as Kendra closed her eyes. The witch breathed softly in relief, laying her head close to her sister's. Her eyes remained open for a while, as she waited for Kendra's breath to become rhythmic and soft. The two daughters of Meldresi both laid together, quiet in the dark woods, resting together in their own shared grief.
