Joining

The child followed her every step, from the north to the outskirts of Blackfeather Woods. She was surprised by his tenacity, but appreciated it none the less. Damien would apprecitate it. He was young, only four months it seemed. He didn't seemed trained, perhaps he might have started had he stayed and not followed her. Well, now...things would be different for him.

She stopped near the borders, turning back at the tawny pup behind her. Come along, I want someone to meet you. She smiled, then turned her head upwards and howled for her brother.

He had followed her, heart swelling with happiness. Somewhere along the way, he had started to miss his mother, but he probably would be reunited with her soon enough. So he had been a good boy, following the moon-lady, who's name he did not know. He had dubbed her moon-lady in his mind, however, and wouls probably be calling her that until she corrected him.

They came to another scent line that day, Seff's nose being more developed now, noted that these were not the scents of his packmates. It made him slightly uneasy, but he was brave, and trusted in the moon-lady. Looking up at her, curiosity glinting in his eyes, he asked "Where are we, moon-lady? Why everything so dark? Looks cccooooooolll." Cool was a new word for him, one he was quite fond of at the moment.

With his head low Damien wadded along the borders. For some reason he felt like Asterr would turn up at every second regardless of having expressed she did not wish to come near. Perhaps he was simply afraid she would run into someone that wasn't him, someone more dangerous, and after the conditions in which they'd met he could very well have been looking out not only for her.

His thought were interrupted by his sister's call. Not having noticed her absence before he ran to find her in case she needed assistance, but it turned out that once again, another pup was being brought to the dark forest. It was starting to become more noticeable a pattern, with Potema and pups. First requesting Burke's pups to be claimed by the pack, then supporting the idea of keeping Kove's lost and found girl and now this?

"Another one?" asked the Dark Master dubiously, knowing now what she would ask without needing an explanation. He eyed the kid, his tawny tones and blue eyes, not older than three months. Was Blackfeather Woods becoming a kindergarten?

We're by Blackfeather Woods. She said softly, smiling at his nickname for her. Moon-lady. She quite liked that. It's dark because the leaves here are thick and darkly colored; it blocks out the light. She had tried her best to be less eloquent for the young boy's sake, but that didn't seem to work to well. How could she dumb it down for him?

It wasn't long before her brother arrived. He asked only one question, knowing why she had brought the small tawny pup to Blackfeather Woods. Yes, another one. A self-aware smirk crossed her face. His name is Seff. He is from the north, near the ocean.

He latched onto the females words fairly well, understanding most of what was said. Her explanations earned another, drawn out, "Cooool". Then another approached, and Seff lapsed into silence. Reek? No, this one was different, he realized. This one had a bit of white on his chest, was different shaped. His words went ignored by Seff, who instead looked to the moon-lady for direction.

She spoke again, and when she finished, Seff chirped up. "Hi! I'm Seff DeMon-Demon...DeMonte!" He smiled at the male, then, remembering something he'd seen another wolf do to Reek, he did a little bow, then bounced back up to look at the dark wolf with a smile on his maw.

It didn't surprise Damien to hear that his sister had gone so far as the ocean to collect the pup, but it was actually a little concerning. He wondered whether she already knew she would find him, or had just ran into him by chance, but didn't have a chance to ask. The pup had started talking, offering Damien his name with an awkward bow. At least he had manners.

Damien blinked at the kid, glancing back at Potema shortly before lightly dipping his head at the pup in response. "I'm Damien Mehrunes," he said regally, and turned to his sister with a question. "Was he alone?" he asked, hiding another question between the lines for only Potema to pick up: 'Did someone follow you?'

Seff chirped cheerfully enough, giving his full name like it was practiced. She was baffled by how cheery and open the boy was. Who raised this child to be so trusting of total strangers? Who raised him to readily give his full name? No matter. She would raise him right. He was, She answered, sensing the question between her brother's words. But I found him and we travelled here. Alone. She said, answering both questions. She would tell her brother of her intentions later, but for now, the boy needed to rest in his new home.

Damien shot a glance behind his sister to make sure there was no one following her tracks. She assured him they were not followed, and Damien trusted his sister's capacity to travel under the radar, however he would see to it that the borders were secured, and re-checked just to make sure the pup and his sister was not being hunted.

"You look hungry," said Damien turning to the child. "You're lucky Potema found you, we just hunted a large moose and there is plenty for you to eat. Come," he cooed and lead the way into the forest. Every word had been thoroughly premeditated to make sure the kid, who was certainly not as young as Damien would have wanted, found positive things to see in Blackfeather Woods. He looked back at his sister and nodded, there was potential in every pup, easy to mold with darkness, and the witch had done a wonderful job.

Hungry he was, and the promise of food had him look at this place in a much brighter light. His mother momentarily forgotten in sake of a meal and being with these friendly wolves, he followed with a wagging tail and bright eyes. Not forgetting the precious manners his mother taught him, he squeaked a quick thanks as he vanished into the wood with the dark wolf.
