All Welcome
The night was young.
Beneath the early stars, the maiden walked the shore, humming softly an ancient tune. The night was one of myth, still and cool and completed by the full moon hanging low above the water. She was tiny, and yet she walked with confidence, even though surrounded by wolves that dwarfed her, fierce in their nature. She was under the protection of Atoll, and she knew the faces of many from the meeting. Her delicate form stepped lightly among the rocks, slipping naught on the precarious surface that may have felled others, picking her way to the water's edge and finding a flat stone to lay upon.

Sprawled, fur groomed to a soft sheen and dainty paws tucked close to her, she watched the moon and waves, still humming the tune she remembered from days long gone. Her ears were pricked, alert, and yet not truly expecting the arrival of another.

Lagertha tossed and turned fitfully in the sand and driftwood den she had claimed as her own but sleep avoided her like the plague. The night was still early and the Viking reasoned that she would find someone out and about to speak to until she got tired.

With that thought in mind, Lagertha padded down to the beach as it was one of her favorite spots. The Valkyrie was not surprised to find another there though who it was did. The coyote, Artemis, from the den night.

The Shield-maiden wasn't entirely sure why Artemis stayed in Blackrock, or whether or not she was a pack mate, just that did so under Skellige and Doe's permission. That was enough for her.

"Skol," she murmured softly by way of greeting, moving to the coyote's side to admire the Sea. "Beauty in'nit?"
The Gods always smile on the brave women.
