Instead of circling back towards Silvertip Mountain, as was her eventual intention, Furiosa skirted around the remainder of Donnelaith's borders, and began scouting further for potential members of The Family. Considering those she had met so far, her preference would have been to find @Gristle, the burly wolf she'd met with Arturo, as he would add a much needed sense of bulk to their ranks, but her thoughts also traveled to the blind beach bum, @Tide. Though loathe to admit that a blind wolf could be useful, Furiosa was not beyond imagining perks. Even if he served only as a meal during a tight winter, the sightless male could maintain a purpose; and in thinking that her best bet to find him was to travel up the coast, she casually looked without hope of finding him again.

In truth, she didn't intend to go very far. The sunbathed Plateau seemed a good enough place to start and stop her searching, so that was where she moved.

She passed the borders of the Donnelaith pack, up to her shoulders in saltwater until she cleared the stand of trees. As the expanse of sand filled her views, the wench pulled herself onto the land. She shook her pelt, though she was still dripping as she walked up the bay into the plateau.

The onset of winter and the pressure of more packs near their own territory...ugh. She was stressed. Maude's ears twitched with annoyance at thought. This...tie-lig, whatever, they were way too close. Couldn't they be on the other side of the Donnelaith pack, like here? Fookin' bastards, wot who do dey t'ink dey are, huh? She muttered. Muttered was an understatement. She was being quite loud about her anger.

I hope it's ok that I jump in? I'll butt out if you want me to!

Cam trotted along the plateau, enjoying the sun and the warmth it provided. The boy had always favored summer's warm days over winter's cold ones, and he hated when the autumn's temperament began to weigh towards cool. It was starting, he could feel the chill in the air, so he was glad that he could enjoy a nice warm place like this. After a while of walking, Cam noticed a couple new scents. One a female, the other a male. He thought at first maybe to stay away from them, but decided quickly against it. He knew with winter coming soon that he'd need to find a pack, and staying away from others wasn't gonna find him one.

He made his way towards the scents and first came upon a brown furred male, quite actually yelling in the strangest accent he'd ever heard. Not too far away from the male was the female, and from both he kept his distance. The small male waited, watching them both from where he stood. If they were interested in talking to him, then they could. If not, he'd soon be on his way.

of course it's fine! i'm glad you're both here <3

The sound of aggravated shouting reached the distant ears of Furiosa, causing her to take pause and listen. Too far away to determine what had been said, she waited to hear more— the sound of a verbal altercation turning physical (which she hoped for), or at least a loud rebuttal— but the only sound that followed was the dull, monotonous revel of the ocean. Her interest remained still, so she took up a quick trot along the plateau, soon coming upon a rather lackluster scene: two males, unrelated judging by their distance from one another and the fact they were both facing the same general path of travel.

The second male, smaller and paler than the first seemed to hang back uncertainly, so she approached the ochre wolf, the one she presumed had been shouting. "I heard shouting," she announced, though her sharkish eyes didn't seem to be looking to provide any assistance. "Thought there might be some blood to see." Her lips traveled the length of her jaw, and she came to stand near the earthy male with decidedly enough space between them to serve as a fair defense against sudden lunging. The wind did not favor her at present, so his (as well as his pack's) and the other male's scent was unfortunately lost on her.

She wasn't left alone to "mutter" to herself for long. A boy joined her first. He distanced himself from her, a good choice. Maude snorted at him. Wot'd yew want, eh? Her lip curled, her tail rising high over her back.

The woman she liked almost immediately. Something about her manner reminded her of the willing bloodthirstiness of Tortuga, to which she cackled shortly at. 'fraid yer gonna be disappointed, lass, She smirked, her tail beginning to wag slowly.

Cam continued to hang back, watching the other two patiently. The pale female made her way towards the other male, speaking of shouting and blood. The words made him uneasy, his golden brown fur began to prickle. A sudden breeze blew past him, sending the female's scent in his direction. She smelled of other wolves, which was just what he'd hoped for. A pack wolf. He was searching for a pack to join, to shelter him throughout the winter. However not just any pack would do for Cam, he was a picky male. He decided that observing the others might be his best bet for now. Before asking about packs or anything, he wanted to know about the members.

When the grizzly furred male spoke to him, at first Cam assumed he was speaking to the female. When he realized that the remark was directed at him, he stepped back a bit. He definitely hadn't wanted to be dragged into the conversation so early, and was a bit flustered by the question. Uh, I... He fumbled over words, looking like a fool until he was ignored again. The brown furred male went back to the female, and Cam just closed up his stupid mouth. It wasn't a good first impression, he didn't like where this was going at all.

BUT he was still curious, if not more curious now that he'd heard that wild accent that the one male had. So he took a few tentative steps towards the pair, drawing closer but still remaining a safe distance. Still a bit shook from the awful first introduction, Cam cleared his throat to speak. You two know each other? Another stupid question, it was not his day.

"Pity," she mused to the young chocolate male, looking him up and down, and then angling her head in a clear attempt to keep sour-lemon eyes on her; "you would look great in someone else's blood." Her eyes traveled over his lean shoulder, at first peering blankly at the other male— paler, and highly uncertain. Her gaze sharpened as she noted that he didn't seem inclined to turn tail, which mean he had some mettle to his bones and shouldn't be dismissed so quickly by her black, judgy eyes. "Maybe," she responded ambiguously to his question. He had taken a step closer and Furiosa mirrored him, easing towards the less inclined male just as he tentatively came forth. "Do you want to know each other?" she clucked, turning his words back at him.

She smirked at the woman; she liked her immediately. Yew would too; ye'd look rather dashin' if'n I say so, The boy on the other hand, well... He looked like the kind to be easily broken. Maude looked to them both Well, looks like we're all strangers, eh? She couldn't smell much of their pack scents, if they had any, and assumed they were in the same position. Name's Maude. Beta o' Saltwinter, up north.

Cam wasn't sure how to respond the question the female had posed to him. Do you want to know each other? Cam was young, and though he was a smart boy, things went over his head quite a bit. He hardly had time to process what that even meant before the brown furred male spoke again, introducing himself as Maude. And a beta none the less. This would have interested Cam, if not for the fact that only minutes before, both wolves were talking about dressing themselves in blood. Maybe not the crowd he wanted to run with, but he could still make their acquaintance.

Um I'm Cam. He stated, dipping his head to them then turning to face the female.
