All Welcome
"AH-HAH!" the bawdy male yelled, swinging his head from the saltwater with a struggling fish in tow. the fish contorted and flapped, mouth agape as the sun flashed bright and blinding across its trim body. murgash kept his jaw firm, closing his eyes as the fish slapped his face in repeated buffets.

as his paws hit the sand the fish had ceased its struggles save for the occasional outburst. by the time the male made it to @Doe's den the fish was still, its eyes blank and mouth slack. proudly the male presented his prize -- without mein or circumstance he just invited himself into the den. he dropped the fish suddenly and bellowed: "OI! PRETTY LAYDEE! OI'VE GOT YER FEESH!" he announced loudly, poking the fish with a paw until Doe materialized.

Some pp of puppies. Hope this is alright. @Julep @Isengrim @Whiskey
If the pups hadn't been roused by Uncle Murgash's triumphant bellowing, they would certainly be woken when Doe thoughtlessly leapt to her paws, sending small bodies tumbling this way and that without much regard. Pups were sort of bouncy, Doe had learned, and they would soon endure worse from each other than they ever had from herself. Besides, she'd been feeling sort of peckish, and some nice, scaly fish sounded just right!

"Is it snapper?" Doe asked, curious and bemused by this display. She snatched it up either way, wanting to have it in her jaws in case the wily wolf suddenly changed his mind about giving her his meal.

uh.. was it snapper? murgash looked at the lump of flesh anxiously, a long rope of drool billowing from his mouth in a comically slow descent. he looked back up to doe abruptly, the string of drool jerking in tandem. "YES!" he declared boldly, though his outward confidence was a guise. he had no idea if it was snapper. he didn't even know what a snapper was.

but it was red, and a fish.. so.. "well, oi thinks it is. is it?" he hoped yes; not because he had done a kind gesture, but because as of late he had been a little too libertine with the cache and by the time doe would leave the den and possibly notice, maybe this 'peace offering' would mellow any rage aimed his way. time would tell, anyway.

Doe did not care to check on the validity of his claim. Any fish sounded good enough, and a little slime and drool would not scare Doe away from a perfectly good meal. "It's just what I wanted," said Doe, taking pity on the wolf. Despite the way all their encounters seemed to go, the vapid shewolf still thought of their relationship as a friendly one. Besides, no matter how they treated each other, they were still pack. Still family.

And, with family in mind, Doe's tail began to wag. "Do you want to see the pups?" she offered, eager to show off the fruit of all her many weeks of toiling and hours of hard, painful work. She picked up the offered meal and shuffled back into the den, ready to present her tiny family to the strange nobleman.

the rangy wolf held tension in his body as he anticipated doe's reaction: would she scorn him? smite him? maybe give him a kiss?

he hoped it was the latter, but had spent enough time around the prickly lady to know the only contact he'd get from her would be the sharp barb of her tongue in the form of refute. but he was a desperate and semi-needy man, and any attention from a pretty lady would do.

his gaze picked up as he saw her tail wag - wait, wag? his expression scrunched in a form of scrutiny -- that was, until she spoke. pups -- ehhhh... he shifted his shoulders, uncomfortable with the proposition. you see, for some reason or another people frowned on eating them, and they were too young to be romantically interested in him.. and if it wasn't edible or bangable, he wasn't entirely interested.

yet the male had some semblance of sense, for he nodded quickly despite the internal dialogue brewing: he did not want to offend Doe -- and he was sure she was proud of the little (inedible) lumps she had brought into the word. he set behind her as she picked up the carcass and followed her into the den.

they were definitely pups, and he peered at each somberly. there were four that he could see, and despite having one fairly functional eye, he couldn't tell the difference between any of them. "woter their names?"

"Um..." Doe peered down at the four, taking a moment to pick them apart. In the end, she decided to forgoe pointing them out, and simply reeled off the names that she'd chosen for them. "The boy is Isengrim, and the girls are Julep and Whiskey. The littlest one doesn't have a name yet," she explained, padding over to them and nosing the littlest in question back into the nest. They were so wiggly, lately! Doe wondered when she'd have to start worrying about them leaving the den.

"They're so tiny," she sighed as she looked doubtfully down at the four. There were days she wondered if they would ever get big enough to leave on their own. "But they're sort of neat, right?"

murgash watched as doe padded over to each, nosing them as she spoke their names. names he would not remember because at this particular moment, he was eyeballing the newfound bulk of her underside -- particularly, her boobies.

he snapped out of his drool-fest (though he would of course, store that image in his spank-bank -- if wolves had spankbanks) as he heard the tail end of a question. he hadn't really been paying attention, but did not want her to know so he just nodded slowly. "oh yeah," he agreed, hoping whatever it was he was affirming was not something like "can you get me more snapper?" or "do you feel like doing work stuff?". he cast his gaze to her slyly, hoping it was an acceptable answer. however, he was eager to move on before she caught on and said: "so, how long before dey do stuff?"

Doe's ears flickered as she thought.

"I don't know," she replied, honestly. They were getting more active every day, but it was mostly just crawling over each other and making nice sounds. It was all terribly boring, to be honest, but Doe liked them anyway. Hopefully, they would grow up to be cool like their sister - if not a little braver and stronger. (And smarter, too - Doe hopes they're much smarter than Qilaq.)

"Maybe in a few more weeks," she sighs, tail whisking wistfully.
