Sunlight woke the girl, sprawled half-in and half-out of her den, having her blink up at the sky a moment before checking on her shoulder. The ragwort leaves seemed to have no effect, and she spent a moment picking of the thinly spread poultice carefully. She dared only experiment with herbs she seemed to have many off; the rest she kept carefully hidden away, lest they be important or rare. Sighing, and applying a poultice of horsetail, she noted the faint scent of infection and hoped the next poultice would prove useful.

She spent the rest of the morning choosing some of the better off herbs that she knew well, including the raspberry leaves she'd discovered yesterday, and spreading them before her den. Poppy, marigold, chervil, yarrow, and borage. These were the herbs she knew confidently enough to teach another, and as she called for @Illecebra, she mental rehearsed how, exactly, she planned to teach the woman.

Illecebra had been awake early, laying in the den besides Cyron and watching him sleep. It was almost too good to be true that he was here with them again. That only left Rowana for her and Mawk to worry about. She had been thinking about trying to search for her daughter when Keoni called for her and with one last glance down at Cyron she stood up and headed off.

Approaching the den she paused at the entry and dipped her head, motioning with her head and asking silently if she could come in. Once given permission she would enter and sit down greeting Keoni with a quiet hello.

Cebra arrived swiftly, and Keoni motioned for her to sit alongside her at the mouth of the den, gaze moving over the piles in the snow once before falling on the woman. Dipping her head in greeting, she decided to begin with the basic herbs she'd used on Cebra, gesturing first at her tail and then at the herb to her far left. Looking to the woman, she carefully, clearly, mouthed marigold, watching her carefully to see if her word would be understood.

Slowly moving forward she sat beside Keoni and kept her eyes trained on the girl's face prepared to read any words she mouthed. When her tail was gestured to and then a herb she noted the appearance of the leaf before looking to Keoni again. "Marigold? It's for..." She paused trying to remember what her tail had needed at the time. "Ah...to prevent infection?" She guessed awkwardly.

Cebra understood the word she mouthed, twisting her muzzle into a gleeful grin. She dipped her head at the woman's guess, though remembered that this one might be easier to teach than the rest, seeing as she'd used it on Cebra already. common. She mouthed next; for she'd seen the yellow flowers everywhere over the course of the summer, especially in the meadow; she'd been good at collecting that before the snows came. poultice. Keoni mouthed again, repeating the word when she realized she'd gotten excited and rushed the first time.

She gave a small wiggle of her nubby tail and smiled quietly as Keoni mouthed the next word. It was a common herb, Cebra supposed that meant it was easy to find around the territory. She nodded once to show she understood the information and then again when Keoni mouthed the word poultice. Her first herb was taught and Illecebra found herself eager to learn more.

After determining that the basics of the simplest hurt had been taught, Keoni motioned to the tiny black seeds in the snow. She'd only removed a couple from the pile, afraid she'd loose them in the snow and dirt outside the den, and these she pointed to Cebra now. Mouthing again, she named them first, poppy, and then continued with, red flowers. The girl paused a moment to make sure had been understood before continueing carefully, slowly, elation slowly building as she realized that Cebra was one of the few she could comunicate with, to a degree. Bring sleep. For pain.

It wasn't exactly easy to read lips but the way Keoni slowly enunciated the words definitely helped. She bent her head to stare at the seeds and nodded as she caught the name of them. Poppy seeds, for pain, they help sleep. "I assume you swallow them? Is there a limit on how much to give?" She asked curiously, guessing that if it caused a wolf to sleep that there had to be limit on how much they could be given.
