she lays sprawled out on the cool earth, the skies overcast and grey. rainfall patters lightly on the canopy above, far too light to penetrate summer's growth. she gnaws on the carcass of a partridge, caught and quickly consumed. hunger dulls slowly, and after the rush of the hunt she is content only to lay here as emerald gaze roves the hollow places between the trunks.

thank u for starting!!
She's wandered inland today, carrying with her a myriad of shells in colors both muted and bright, wrapped painstakingly in a broad leaf. It's morning when she starts, the sky bright and clear as she picks her way across the land and wonders how she'll get home. She'll figure it out, right?
It's later in the day when it starts to rain, but she doesn't regret her decision to go out today; it's light and feels nice, and by the time she passes into the forest she's covered in tiny crystalline droplets. She scents the other wolf a few beats before she spots her, catching the metallic tang of blood too and slowing automatically. She chuffs and dares a few steps forward so she's clearly in view, but stops there, waiting to see what reception she'll get; it seems the other is more or less done, but she prefers to err on the side of caution.

the approach of another is not unnoticed, and when the woman comes into view her gaze already rests there. emerald scans her, her head lifting and a chuff rolling out of her maw to announce her amiable intention. the girl is pretty - gaze lingers on the violet gaze moment, the rust-coloured mask. perhaps it is this that compels her to speak first, ears flicking as she offers a "hello."  gaze finds to bundle next, focusing on it as her head cants a fraction, conveying her curiousity easily.

She lays the leaf-wrapped shells gently on the ground when the woman greets her, offering a slightly shy smile. Hi, She returns, nudging the bundle open with one paw. Would you like a seashell? It's not often she offers one up simply for taking, but she always finds herself acting a little different around pretty girls (see: Blixen and that whole mess). And honestly, there's no real use for them — but they're pretty and it seems logical to give pretty girls pretty things. Something like that.
